What Is the Montauk Monster?

My brother was in Montauk Long Island over the weekend ( and got engaged - congratulations again), but I don't think he saw this. This thing washed up on the beach a couple weeks ago. Any thoughts on what it could be? I defintitely think the person who said dead pitbull was on to something!??! Therories have ranged from Madonna's bowel movement, Madonna's plastic surgery bioproduct, and Madonna's soul, which some how floated up from New York. ( I hate Madonna). Actually people think it could be shelless sea turtle. I want to hear what you think it is, but I think I know. I think that is a sneak preview for the Hills new season starting in August. MTV is centered in New York right?
