Greatest....TV Show....Ever!!!

Did anyone catch Fat Pets last night on Animal Planet? Well let me tell you, this was one of the best shows I've ever watched. The show follows the trials and tribulations of owners and their over weight pets. It may sound bland and sad, but seeing a morbidly obese dog pant after walking five steps to the cupboard where its hostess cakes are kept is wildly entertaining. The show highlighted three over weight dogs and one cat. The cat holds the record as the fattest cat in Britain, and the dog Beau (pictured above) weighs 202 lbs, which is 70 pounds over its recommended weight. Needless to say the owners themselves were fat as well. A King Charles Cavalier was 42 pounds and its diet consisted of 12 fruit cakes a day. The dog wines and scratches at the drawer where its food is kept until its owner gives in and gives him his cakes. The owner says that the dog is depressed and feeding it fruit cakes makes it feel better. Most of the owners are worried about their dogs health, and professionals are hired to help the dogs lose weight. The owner of Beau refuses to admit the dog is unhealthy, and says Beau gets anything he wants. When she took him to the groomer a fight erupted after the groomer said Beau was fat and that its owner was killing him slowly. The owner said that she was paying for a service not insults. I thought the owner was going to assault the groomer after demanding an apology. Imagine My Kid is Famous, but take out the kids and add really really fat animals who waddle around, lounge on the ground all day, and pant incessantly after walking a few steps. I recommend keeping your eye out for a repeat of the show.
